Robots in Pop Culture
What do you know about robots??....
You know what you've seen in the movies and TV right? Everybody's seen Star Wars and Star Trek. You probably have a favorite character or episode.
What was it about the robot that made it memorable? The way it worked? How it interacted with humans? Something it did? Did it go crazy? Revolt against it's owner? Look like a human? Did it walk, roll or float? Could it think for itself?
Activity PB1:Write a paragraph in your journal about a robot you recall from the movies or TV. Consider writing about the robot from the robot's perspective (like, "I'm just a poor misunderstood Terminator....") or from the perspective of the movie director trying to achieve a certain effect.
Activity PB2:After you write about the robots, describe your impressions with other ROVer Ranch members.
