MathTrax

Audience and Purpose :

MathTrax is a graphing tool for middle school and high school students.

Students can use MathTrax to graph equations, plot data files and graph physics simulations.  The displayed graphs are coupled with text descriptions and sound capabilities so you can hear and read about the graph.

The text and sound options provide blind and low vision students with alternative access to mathematical data and can be used to graph and experiment with math equations and datasets.

MathTrax is part of NASA's commitment to improve student's reasoning abilities in the areas of science and mathematics by using a teaching modality that displays the relationship between math equations and their application in the real world.
